Looking Back on 2022: Our Annual Report

December 12, 2022

Phew! What a year!

With 2022 in our rear view mirror, we’re reflecting on the highs (there were many) and the lows (there were many) we experienced throughout the year. Throughout it all, we remained dedicated making change on the Youth Agenda and mobilizing young voters ahead of the 2022 midterm election.

The hard work paid off: young people turned out this year—for our communities and our futures. Nationally, young voters posted the second highest midterm turnout in the last 30 years and Colorado was no exception: 39 percent of young Coloradans voted, making up one of every five voters, and were crucial to maintaining a trifecta of decision-makers committed to young people’s priorities in key state offices.

Other highlights? Just passing a bill to ban the practice of withholding college transcripts because of unpaid debts, working in coalition to pass the Reproductive Health Equity Act and enshrine a person’s right to access abortion care in Colorado, announcing the Youth Agenda, implementing a range of exciting new strategies outlined in our strategic plan—NBD.
