Volunteer with New Era!

New Era members run a table at Colorado State University Fort Collins.New Era is building a youth-driven democracy by organizing, mobilizing, and developing young people in communities across our regional hubs in Colorado, and that starts with a powerful movement of young people taking action. In just the last 18 months, 7% of our base (the 18-34-year-olds we’ve had contact with) has taken action! Some of the ways to get involved as a volunteer include:

  • Registering voters and talking to them about the issues impacting our generation
  • Testifying at the state Capitol on bills you are passionate about
  • Writing letters to the editor or other opinion media
  • Calling or texting young voters before elections to help them make a plan to vote and answer their questions about voting
  • Knocking doors to get out the vote
  • Attending events and trainings to grow as a young progressive leader and get connected to a larger community of progressive young folks
  • Becoming a member of one of our regional chapters
  • And so much more!

At New Era Colorado, we’re committed to developing volunteers as leaders in their own communities through hands-on skills development and free access to educational training and materials on political advocacy topics.

We’ll work with you to find out what you’re passionate about, what you’re interested in doing, and plug you into events, actions, and campaigns that interest you—just fill out our form and we’ll reach out!
