Hello. My name is [your name] and I am a resident of [city, Colorado] and I am calling you today to demand accountability for the murder of Elijah McClain. We remember your commitment when you came into office to focus on Elijah McClain’s case, and you admitted that wrongdoing on behalf of the officers who murdered him. I demand that you act with integrity and that the Officers Nathan Woodyard, Jason Rosenblatt, Randy Roedema, Matthew Green, and Sgt Dale Leonard, as well as Lt. Peter Chichuniec and Medic Jeremy Cooper of Aurora Fire Rescue, are fired immediately and charged for killing Elijah McClain. We demand public accountability from the Aurora Government, who failed to act until 301 days after McClain’s death, and your personal accountability for your unkept promises.

I also demand an end to the brutalization of protestors, beginning with a denouncement of the pepper spray and tear gas used by APD and an end to the practice of brutalizing protestors with chemical weapons and projectiles. I demand your advocacy for release without charges for the 3 protestors who were arrested by APD demanding justice for Elijah, and no further arrests of demonstrators.

The people are watching. You may think that the news hype will die down and you can go back to ignoring the demands of the people without repercussion, but that would be a mistaken assumption. I am watching and waiting, as are the voters of Aurora.

Hello. My name is [your name] and I am a resident of [city, Colorado] and I am calling you today to demand accountability for the murder of Elijah McClain. I demand that Officers Nathan Woodyard, Jason Rosenblatt, Randy Roedema, Matthew Green, and Sgt Dale Leonard, as well as Lt. Peter Chichuniec and Medic Jeremy Cooper of Aurora Fire Rescue, are immediately charged and prosecuted for killing Elijah McClain. Immediate restitution must be paid to the McClain family for the immense suffering they have endured since the moment Elijah’s life was stolen and for the over 300 days of complicity by the Aurora City Government.

I demand full cooperation in the independent investigation by Attorney General Weiser, the potential independent investigation by the City of Aurora, and the private investigation by the McClain family attorney and private investigators as they seek justice outside the channels that have failed them thus far.  I demand release without charges for the 3 protestors who were arrested by APD demanding justice for Elijah, and no further arrests of demonstrators.

You say that you will not take action until new evidence is produced that will change your mind, rather than community pressure. As an elected official, you are accountable to the demands of the community and this community will remember your actions at the ballot box.

Attorney General Phil Weiser

Hello. My name is [your name] and I am a resident of [city, Colorado] and I am calling you today to urge you to swiftly and seriously begin your investigation into the murder of Elijah McClain. The McClain family and the people of Aurora have waited over 300 days for the Aurora Government to act. By accepting Governor Polis’ direction to begin independently investigating, you have signaled the state government’s dedication to equal and fair justice for all, regardless of positions of power on the police force. I urge you to look at the facts of the case and deliver justice to the McClain family by prosecuting Aurora Police Officers Nathan Woodyard, Jason Rosenblatt, Randy Roedema, Matthew Green, and Sgt Dale Leonard as well as Lt. Peter Chichuniec and Medic Jeremy Cooper of Aurora Fire Rescue.

Chief of Police Vanessa Wilson

Hello. My name is [your name] and I am a resident of [city, Colorado] and I am calling you today to urge you to immediately fire Officers Nathan Woodyard, Jason Rosenblatt, Randy Roedema, Matthew Green, and Sgt Dale Leonard, who are responsible for the murder of Elijah McClain. Instead of readily acting to denounce brutal violence and racism on your force, you have doubled down and thereby endorsed unlawful fatal force against citizens. I demand that you change course immediately.

I also demand an end to the brutalization of protestors with pepper spray, tear gas, and projectiles. APD showed up in riot gear to intentionally meet a peaceful demonstration of grief and protest with physical violence, compounding the pain and dehumanization you have inflicted on the McClain family, who were present at the rally. We saw first hand that your officers used canisters of tear gas which violates the ban on tear gas passed in Senate Bill 217. I demand release without charges for the 3 protestors who were arrested by APD demanding justice for Elijah, and no further arrests of demonstrators. Finally, I demand that the three officers who posed inappropriately for a photo at Elijah McClain’s memorial be fired immediately.

The people are watching, and we demand justice for Elijah and the McClain family NOW.
